What you are buying

A one-year registration of the .com domain name you searched for. It is registered in your name, using the contact details you enter, so you are the owner. DDFS registers it on your behalf through our registrar partner.

Price and renewal

A .com is $16.99 USD for the first year. Any applicable tax is shown before you pay. Renewal is not automatic and you will not be charged again without asking. Renewing for another year currently costs $20.48 USD; contact us before your year is up. Renewal prices can change, and a domain that is not renewed expires and can be registered by someone else.

Refunds

If we cannot register the name after you pay, for example because someone else registered it first, you are refunded in full automatically. Refunds usually reach your statement within 5 to 10 business days.

Once a domain is registered it cannot be cancelled for a refund, because the registry charges for it immediately. If something went wrong with your order, email us within 5 days and we will do what we can to put it right.

Your contact details

Domain rules require accurate owner contact details. We send them to the registrar only to register and manage your domain, and they are hidden from the public lookup. The registrar may email you to confirm your address; please click the link, because an unconfirmed domain can be suspended.

Moving your domain

The domain is yours. You can ask us to transfer it to another provider at any time; registry rules may apply a short transfer lock after a new registration.

Acceptable use

Do not register names to impersonate others, infringe trademarks or break the law. We may refuse or cancel an order where required by law or registry rules.
